Windows Phones from HTC and Nokia arrive on AT&T

The wait will soon be over for AT&T subscribers looking to get their hands on a Windows Phone 8 device.

AT&T announced that Nokia's Lumia 920, (left in the photo above) and Lumia 820 will be available for pre-order on November 7, for $50 and $100, respectively. Both phones will hit stores on November 9. HTC's Windows Phone 8X will cost $200 for a 16GB model or $100 for an 8GB model, and will be available before Thanksgiving, the carrier said.

The Lumia 920 is Nokia's flagship Windows Phone 8 device, and includes a free wireless charging plate as part of a special promotion. The phone features an 8.7-megapixel camera with image stabilization and low-light settings that take in “five times more light” than typical smartphones, according to AT&T. Other specs include a 4.5-inch, a 1280 by 768 resolution display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

The Lumia 820 will cost $50 with a two-year contract. It's a mid-range phone with a 4.3-inch, an 800-by-480 resolution display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. The Lumia 820 also supports wireless charging through optional exchangeable shells.
