Google Nexus 10 excitement is growing, and the proof is in the response to a brief video of the tablet device that will compete with Apple's iPad.
The video of the device is getting incredible traffic on YouTube. It’s a definite feat considering it is only 5 seconds long.
The channel is owned by BriefMobile.com.
“Samsung used a polycarbonate material on the back of the device that looks and feels like brushed alumnium to an extent. We’re told the device is extremely light and thin. And, the edges of the device were described as rubbery,” BriefMobile writes, which indicates some other person took the video and leaked information to the website, as opposed to BriefMobile actually handling the device itself.
No matter. What the video proves is that the tablet does exist.
The Google Nexus 10 may out-do Apple's iPad in some ways.
Code-named “Manta,” it’s expected to have a display resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels, or 300 pixels per inch, compared to the iPad’s Retina display of 264 PPI.
Google had been expected to unveil Manta on Monday at an event in New York, but that plan has been foiled by Hurricane Sandy. Google canceled the event on Saturday.
